Stryker i-Suite integrated operating room >> What Matters >> i-Suite

A family of integrated surgical suites customised for your environment.

In 1992 we installed the first EndoSuite® for transitioning between open cases and multi-specialty minimally invasive surgery.  Due to the tremendous success, the demand has grown and we have designed several specialty rooms to meet unique equipment requirements and information intensive demands. In 2003 we launched the i-Suite™, a family of integrated operating rooms designed to meet the specific needs of a wide variety of surgical specialties.

Every i-Suite operating room is unique, and Stryker will customise your room to meet your specific surgical, clinical, and technological requirements.  An i-Suite operating room in your hospital can make a positive impact on efficiencies and ergonomics, as well as enhanced patient care.   We invite you to discover the EndoSuite®, OrthoSuite™, NavSuite™ and CVSuite™ and hear about the i-Suite benefits these rooms can deliver.

EndoSuite Operating Room

The EndoSuite OR was the first ever integrated operating room and the foundation for the i-Suite family.  The EndoSuite provides outstanding flexibility and allows the room to be quickly and easily transitioned to accommodate open procedures as well as minimally invasive procedures.  The EndoSuite is extremely versatile allowing General Surgery, Gynaecology, ENT, Urology, Orthopaedics, and more to all share one integrated room. The design integrates the Stryker medical video equipment with a ceiling mounted suspension system providing increased efficiencies and ergonomics.  The EndoSuite is the most advanced operating room, providing both touch panel and voice control over operating theatre equipment, allowing the theatre nurses to concentrate on the patient and surgeon requirements. The system’s functions and images are displayed onto multi-function flat panel monitors, which are also capable of showing CT, Fluoroscopic or Ultrasound and other video images.  Telecommunications can also be incorporated to allow conferencing with other areas of the hospital or with patients and consultants around the world.

OrthoSuite Operating Room

The OrthoSuite provides a specialised working environment for the demands of the Orthopaedic surgeon.  The entire clinical team will benefit from instant access to all digital modalities as well as the efficiencies created by the touch panel and voice control over the minimally invasive equipment such as the camera, lightsource, shaver, and pump.  The OrthoSuite can be easily transitioned between minimally invasive and total joint procedures providing beneficial control and connectivity, as well as improved efficiencies and ergonomics in all procedures.  Once integrated, enjoy the benefits of image guided technology, real-time documentation of procedures or consultation between rooms, to the clinic and even the rest of the world.

NavSuite Operating Room

The NavSuite OR is a surgical suite focused on the demands of the Neuro, Spine, ENT surgeon, and it can also be utilised in orthopaedics for rooms that focus on knee or hip replacements using Stryker Navigation.  In addition to providing the same control as an EndoSuite, the NavSuite incorporates an Image Guided Surgery platform with a ceiling mounted camera that tracks instrumentation.  This is connected to Stryker’s communication platform for viewing a variety of imaging sources.  Utilising a NavSuite allows increased access to PACS images, improved data and image storage and retrieval capabilities and specialised viewing options such as picture-in-picture, over head camera views and telecommunications.

CVSuite Operating Room

The CVSuite OR is designed around the unique and demanding communication and information sharing needs of the heart surgeon and their team. Patient safety is dramatically improved through greater availability and visualisation of the patient vitals, haemodynamics, angiographies and ultrasound.   This is achieved through the use of multiple monitors, allowing simultaneous views of the surgical field along with any other data the surgeon or staff may require. Surgeons can optimise their contact with the operating room team, support providers in ICU, A&E or Lab; and, most importantly with the patient.
