Control Systems

The Sidne® (Stryker Intelligent Device Network) Control System is designed to provide centralised control over the devices in the operating room. Sidne provides direct control to the surgeon while operating in the sterile field.  While sterile, the surgeon can make necessary adjustments to the equipment via voice or with a wireless colour tablet.  The integration of surgeon and equipment increases efficiency and reduces frustration in the operating room.

Sidne is our second generation room control system and has many new and improved features.

Features:

  • No Voice Cards

Improvements in voice recognition have made it possible for us to eliminate the need for voice training prior to using the device.

  • Wireless Tablet

Surgeons also have the ability to control the equipment via a colour touchpanel which can be bagged and placed on the sterile field.

  • Dual Surgeon control

Sidne® accommodates two wireless microphones allowing dual surgeon control

  • High End Video Board

Sidne® has a high end digital video board which can display the high resolution image from our 3 chip camera.  Inputs include DVI, XGA, S-Video and Composite

  • Telephone

A built in telephone allows surgeons to make and receive calls without breaking scrub.
